The other day after the run, we stopped at Rose's Cafe on Union Street in San Francisco. It was delightful. The place is pretty intimate, and I really enjoyed the food. Our table got a good sampling of the brunch offerings. We had: French Toast with Strawberries and Whipped Cream, Polenta with marscapone and jam, poached eggs with a vegetarian hash, and a breakfast pizza with ham, fontina and egg. All of the items were tasty. Also, they served coffees and lattes in bowls instead of cups--that part reminded me a little of France. I definitely will return there, and would love to see what it's all about for lunch or dinner. It is a cute place, just removed from the typical hustle and bustle of Union.
The prices were good, and it is a definite return dining experience.
happy eating!
